C-DEP co-hosting of e-Politics at e-World Forum

eWorld Forum is a premier global conference organized annually. The Forum was launched by Shri Kapil Sibal, Union Minister of Human Resource Development and Communications and IT, Government of India, in 2011.

eWorld 2012 was organized by the Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS), and Elets Technomedia Private Limited, and supported by the Departments of Telecom, and Department of Electronics and IT (DEITy), of the Government of India, who joined in as Co-Organizers.

C-DEP, the National e-Governance Division, National Spatial Data Infrastructure, Unique Identity Authority of India, and the Indira Gandhi National Open University also supported the Forum as co-organizers.

The 2012 edition of this global annual e-Governance Forum focused on harnessing e-governance as a tool for growth of the nation. The Forum engaged leaders and opinion makers from government, industry, academia, and the civil society landscape.

The objective was to showcase and explore how the support of technology helps attain good governance for a nation.
