Jaijit Bhattacharya views on current economics of EV | Can Delhi Go 50% Electric By 2024?

By Dr. Jaijit Bhattacharya

Jaijit share his views on @newsX TV regarding the current economics of electric vehicles. The substantial price difference between electric and combustion engine cars, even of the same brand, creates economic hurdles to faster EV adoption. Government intervention is crucial to make EVs economically viable. Just as solar energy is now cheaper than coal-based electricity.and therefore the economics of solar energy is leading to an accelerated adoption, we need to align EV costs to make EV economically more appealing. Infrastructure challenges, especially in apartment complexes, need community solutions.
