Public safety challenges have globally assumed paramount importance in the human societies across the world. Public safety has myriad dimensions and manifestations for the human lives. With the advent of digitalisation, the complexity of ensuring public safety has become more acute and poses far more challenges to the law enforcement agencies.
The workshop seeks to address some of the key aspects that the societies are confronted with and brings out as to how technological interventions can make the public safety regime much more secure, civil, and conducive to humanity.
C-DEP (Centre for Digital Economy Policies):
C-DEP.org’s objective is to bring together the finest brains in Academia and Industry to formulate draft policies on the Digital Economy that will help the economic growth and prosperity of India. We collaborate with thought leaders from across the world, for the purpose of supporting and sensitizing the Government of India in its various initiatives to make India a global digital industry hub.
Axon Inc.
Axon Inc. was founded in 1993 as TASER International by brothers Rick and Tom Smith. The company’s initial product was the TASER, a non-lethal weapon that uses electrical current to temporarily disable a person. The TASER was invented by Jack Cover, who sold the rights to the company in 1993.
Axon has since diversified into a number of other products and services for law enforcement, including body cameras, digital evidence management systems, and mental health support platforms.
The vision of Axon is to “Protect Life”.
